Your Twenties have been announced as the second stage headliners, while And So I Watch You From Afar, Three Trapped Tigers, Flashguns and Skeletons and the Empty Pockets will play the Tree House Stage.

Little Fish, Orphans And Vandals, Vessels, Midnight Mile, A Genuine Freakshow, Lo-fi Culture Scene and Cats and Cats and Cats have all been added to the Leaf Lounge.

Other acts announced today (Friday) include Jake Morley, Shoes and Socks Off and Men who will all appear on the Greenhouse stage.

Diamler, Daniel Conti, Side-step DJ's, Aspen Sails, Oxygen Thief, May Fly Trio, Joe Summers, Ruth Bewsey, Carlos and the Jackal and Every Other Ones will also appear at the festival this summer.

Speaking about the good response to ticket sales so far, organiser Andy Rea, said: “The first review I read this week touted 2000trees Festival as ‘one of the hottest tickets of the summer’ which was a really great reward for our efforts. We think we’ve brought together our strongest line-up yet and we can’t wait to see them perform. Ticket sales reflect that strength, but we also believe the intimate and friendly atmosphere of the event makes people return year after year.

“We know the giant festivals can afford to pull in the biggest acts of the moment, but we offer a different focus on discovering your new favourite band, without some of the headaches that go with huge events. We’ve had over 1,000 band applications and every band we book we’ve seen live, so we know the pedigree is there.”

Tickets for the Festival are available now priced £50 for a weekend camping pass while kids under ten go free.

2000 Trees Festival launches Golden Ticket giveaway

Fans who purchase a regular 2000 Trees weekend ticket before Valentines day (14 February) will automatically be entered into the Golden Ticket draw.

The lucky winner will do well to stop themselves turning Veronica Salt blue in excitement at the extent of the giveaway which includes VIP access, free food, drink and merchandise (t-shirt, posters, bags, programmes and an official Cider Smiles festival CD), as well as the cheeky bonus of having your tent put up for you and the opportunity to meet and announce your favourite act at this year's event.

For the unsuccessful applicants, a ticket to one of the country's most passionately run festivals is surely reward enough.

With preparations for the 2010 edition well under way, bosses believe they have found a winning formula.

Speaking about the festival, organiser Andy Rea said: "2000 Trees is set to enjoy its best year yet and has built up a loyal following of passionate music fans because of the line-up.

“It is an affordable way to have a great time and be inspired about new British music, perhaps even to discover a new favourite band for the first time."

Ticket prices for the festival are currently frozen at 2009 prices. Pick up a weekend camping ticket for £47 while kids under 10 go free. Ticket prices will increase from 15 February.
