Paul McCartney to headline Isle of Wight Festival
The former-Beatle will bring the event to a close on the Sunday (13 June) night with what is expected to be a career-spanning setlist.He joins Jay-Z and The Strokes at the top of a bill that also includes Vampire Weekend, Spandau Ballet, Orbital and many more.

Editors and more for Isle of Wight Festvial 2010
The Courteeners and Irish four-piece The Coronas have also been announced with all three acts playing the main stage on the Sunday (13 June).The recently reformed Reef will play the same day in the Big Top with Noah and the Whale and folk star Devendra Banhart both performing on the Saturday (12 June).
Jay-Z and The Strokes are set to headline this year's event while other names on the bill include Orbital, Vampire Weekend, Florence and the Machine and more.

Ticket to Ryde? Paul McCartney for Isle of Wight Festival?
The trip may be three years too late (the singer is 67) but according to Daily Star, the showman is set to book a Ticket To Ryde this June to join Jay-Z and The Strokes at the top of the bill.Kings Of Leon have also been touted for the same slot, but they are more likely to appear at V Festival.
Vampire Weekend, Orbital, Daisy Dares You and Shakespears Sister are also confirmed for the Isle of Wight event this year.

Steve Harley announced for Isle of Wight Festival
Also confirmed today are performances from The Alarm and rock 'n' soulsters Saint Jude.
In addition bosses have verified that Jimi Hendrix tribute act Are You Experienced will open the event to mark the fortieth anniversary of one of the virtuoso's final performances which took place at Isle Of Wight Festival in 1970.

Florence and the Machine for IoW Festival
The group, who set festivals alight last year with raucous shows centred around their debut album ‘Lungs’, will hit the main stage on the Friday (11 June).The quiff-tasic La Roux and dubstep’s pop trio N-Dubz have also been announced today (Thursday) alongside The Hold Steady.

Crowded House to play Isle Of Wight Festival
The group, who rose to fame with tracks like ‘Weather With You’, ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ and ‘Something So Strong’, will be joined by Kanye West collaborator Mr Hudson and American disco indie band Hockey.

More acts announced for Isle of Wight
They join Jay-Z, The Strokes, Blondie, Pink, Orbital, James, Doves, Paloma Faith, Squeeze and The Saturdays at the reincarnated event which takes place from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th June.
All four acts will appear on the Main Stage with Calvin Harris on the Friday, Vampire Weekend on the Saturday plus Spandau Ballet and Friedly Fires on the Sunday.

T in the Park, IoW Festival on sale tomorrow
Isle of Wight Festival tickets will be priced at £150 for a weekend adult camping pass, while a child (7 to 12 years) camping ticket will be £75.Organisers of T in the Park are making a limited batch of tickets available at 2009 prices, meaning £170 for the weekend, with camping add-ons at £10 for Thursday.
The Isle Of Wight Festival 2010 will take place at Seaclose Park, Newport from 11-13 June with Jay-Z and The Strokes headlining.
T In The Park 2010 meanwhile is set to return to Balado Airfield, Kinross-shire from 9-11 July.

Jay-Z and The Strokes top IOW 2010 Line-Up
Jay-Z will headline the main stage on Friday 11th June with The Strokes on Saturday 12th. Whilst Sunday's headliner is yet to be revealed, they will be sharing the stage with 'special guest' Pink. Veterans Blondie will make an appearance on the Saturday.
The Big Top will be treated to a spectacular Saturday night headline set from recently reformed dance legends Orbital.
Entertaining the earlybirds on the Thursday night in the Big Top will be Squeeze.
John Giddings, the festival's director says: “Ever since I heard the first Strokes album, I've wanted them for the Isle of Wight. Jay-Z and Pink are two of the best live acts I have ever seen and the Blondie hits speak for themselves. I can't wait!”
The festival will take place from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th June 2010 in Seaclose Park, Newport.

Campervans £250
NB. This year all children 6 and under will be free of charge, but will still need to book in advance in order to receive a wristband.

Tickets will be priced as follows (subject to agency booking fee) and available from this site on Friday 4th:
Adult Camping £150
Adult Non-Camping £130
Child (7 to 12 years) Camping £75
Child (7 to 12 years) Non-Camping £65
Child (6 and under) Free
All children 6 years old and under on 11th June 2010 can go free of charge but must still be included in your booking in order to receive a wristband.
Campervan permit: £250 (all occupiers must also have a valid Camping ticket)
